A modern steakhouse is set to open later this summer in the Lowertown neighborhood.
Noyes & Cutler will open in the former Public Kitchen + Bar space located on the ground floor of the historic, nearly 135-year-old, Noyes Brothers & Cutler building.
Justin Sutherland will serve as Culinary Director while Chef Aaron Cave will serve as the Executive Chef. Jorge Robertson will helm the front of house and has created an extensive cocktail list filled with signature cocktails and modern takes on classics.
The menu at Noyes & Cutler will feature steakhouse standards including appetizers like beef tartare, crab cakes and fresh oysters, along with entrees such as pasta, fish, porkchops and of course, steaks (which will be hand-cut and locally sourced.) The menu is anticipated to also include seasonal specialty dishes and rotating butcherβs cuts of meats.
Noyes & Cutler will be part of the Madison Restaurant Group. The group also owns several other restaurants in the area such as Gray Duck Tavern and Ox Cart Ale House, both of which are in Lowertown, and the Handsome Hog, which is in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood.
Noyes & Cutler will start with a mid-day menu beginning at 3pm and an evening menu beginning at 5pm. The goal is eventually to also add lunch to the menu. The space will feature live music multiple nights a week which will be complimented later this year when Madison Restaurant Group plans to reopen Green Lantern Cocktails + Music on the lower floor of the building.
Noyes & Cutler is anticipated to open in June at 229 E 6th Street.
