An inclusive community for individuals and companies who want a healthier and happier work environment, and those who want a fun and unique space to exercise, is opening in Uptown.
The Wilderness Fitness and Coworking will open on the garden level of 1010 W Lake Street, (beneath CVS) in April. The 17,000 square foot fitness and coworking facility will have capacity for nearly 300 members. Within the space, members will find a large functional fitness gym, 10 private offices, 30 dedicated desks and 80 open seating options. In addition, conference rooms and event space will be available for rent.
Co-founders Ben Wales and Bobby Burns have nearly 25 years of combined business experience. The two wanted to bring the outdoors inside and create a relaxing space, filled with plants and natural lighting, to both work and play. The two felt like a hybrid fitness/coworking space was the perfect endeavor as people are craving a community aspect for work, even remote work, after nearly two years of various states of quarantine and work-from-home conditions. The Wilderness will be different from other coworking environments in the fact that it will have a large functional fitness space for members to use throughout the day. The space will also offer free daily yoga and fitness classes for all members.
Access to The Wilderness can be obtained by selecting one of several different tiered membership packages including gym only, open coworking + gym, dedicated desk, or private office space. As a grand opening special, the month of April will be free for new members who also donate a plant to the space.
The Wilderness Fitness and Coworking will be located at 1010 W Lake Street and is anticipated to open in April.
