FAST CASUAL TACO JOINT TO OPEN IN NORTH LOOP

A fast casual taco shop is opening later this year in the North Loop.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will open their first Minnesota location within a space located on the ground floor of the Loose-Wiles Building. The space that Fuzzy’s will occupy is located behind The Freehouse in a newly created retail space that faces The Nordic, a mixed-use project that was finished in 2019.

Fuzzy’s has extensive Baja-style Mexican menu that features a number of different food entrees and drinks. You’ll find a variety of different salads, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, Mexican plates and more. There’s also an extensive list of beer, specialty drinks and of course, margaritas.

The company lists the new North Loop location as coming soon on their website while leasing documents for the Loose Wiles Building are already promoting the new restaurant. Each Fuzzy’s location is a little different when it comes to the décor and size, but what is the same is that all feature a laid-back and inclusive vibe that keeps guests coming back for more.

The first Fuzzy’s Taco Shop opened in 2003 in Fort Worth, TX, since then the company has expanded to over 150 locations in 11 different states across the country with plans to have over 200 locations within the next year. While the North Loop location will be the first in Minnesota, it is not expected to be the last.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is anticipated to open this spring at 701 N Washington Avenue.
