The Dayton’s Project, one of the largest historic renovations in the country, will officially open to the public tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow at 10:45am an official ribbon cutting ceremony will occur, marking the completion and opening of The Dayton’s Project. The massive $350 million mixed-use project in total covers of 1.2 million square feet of space and includes 750,000 square feet of office space along with 250,000 square feet of retail space. The opening marks the end of a multi-year redevelopment project that saw the complete renovation of what formerly was Macy’s Downtown Flagship location and originally was the iconic Dayton’s department store. You can learn more about The Dayton’s Project (and its amazing office amenities) here.

The building’s first office tenant, Ernst & Young Global Limited, moved into the completed project earlier this week and tomorrow the building’s first retail tenant, a massive maker’s market, will officially open its doors.

The Departments at Dayton’s, a maker’s market that will take up a sizable space on the ground floor of the building, will be the first retail tenant to open within The Dayton’s Project. The market will feature a diverse selection of goods and brands that are exclusive to the market and not found elsewhere in the state.

Mich Bertiaume is the behind the new market and has curated other retail experiences at massive events like Superbowl LII along with places like the Mall of America.
