THE DAYTON'S PROJECT OFFICIALLY OPENS IT'S DOORS image

The Dayton’s Project, one of the largest historic renovations in the country, will officially open to the public tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow at 10:45am an official ribbon cutting ceremony will occur, marking the completion and opening of The Dayton’s Project. The massive $350 million mixed-use project in total covers of 1.2 million square feet of space and includes 750,000 square feet of office space along with 250,000 square feet of retail space. The opening marks the end of a multi-year redevelopment project that saw the complete renovation of what formerly was Macy’s Downtown Flagship location and originally was the iconic Dayton’s department store. The building’s first office tenant, Ernst & Young Global Limited, moved into the completed project earlier this week and tomorrow the building’s first retail tenant, a massive maker’s market, will officially open its doors.

THE DEPARTMENT AT DAYTON’S

The Departments at Dayton’s, a maker’s market that will take up a sizable space on the ground floor of the building, will be the first retail tenant to open within The Dayton’s Project. The market will feature a diverse selection of goods and brands that are exclusive to the market and not found elsewhere in the state.

Mich Bertiaume is the behind the new market and has curated other retail experiences at massive events like Superbowl LII along with places like the Mall of America.

The Department at Dayton’s will include over 30 different vendors that will sell a number of different goods. Take a look at the massive list of vendors below.

In addition to the opening of The Departments at Dayton’s, The Dayton’s Project will also unveil its annual Holiday Windows at 10:45am. The displays, which will feature a treasured Dayton’s tradition, Santa Bears, will be located on both the first floor and skyway level.

The Departments at Dayton’s is located at 700 Nicollet Mall and will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am-6pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.
