UNIQUE CEREAL BAR OPENS ON GRAND AVENUE

First off, Happy National Ice Cream Day! There’s no better way to celebrate than with news of a new, and unique, ice cream shop in St.Paul.

Treat’s is a new cereal bar & boba (bubble tea) shop that opened last month on St. Paul’s bustling Grand Avenue. So how exactly does this shop fit the ice cream category? That’s the best part.

You know that delicious milk that’s left over from once you’re done enjoying your favorite cereal? Think that sweet and sugary milk that you literally could (and would) drink like a beverage. Yeah, that’s the idea behind the ice cream at Treats. #dreamscometrue

Sister and Brother duo, Trisha Seng and Minh Dinh, came up with the idea after traveling to a number of cereal bars on the West and East Coasts where they would literally serve cereal and milk. They thought that could up the experience by adding ice cream to the mix… and they did.

At Treats you’ll find a machine that grinds cereal pieces into a powder form and then swirls it right into the ice cream. There are 15 different cereal flavors to choose from with hopes to expand that list to even more this fall. You’ll also find sundaes and shakes where you can combine up to three of the flavors.

When getting the ice cream, skip the boring bowl and get yourself a cone. Treats has five types of flavored (and colored) cones with flavors like red velvet, orange creamsicle, birthday cake and more.

Last but not least, let’s not forget the boba. Treats offers fruit teas, milk teas and ceremonial-grade matcha with those oh so tasty tapioca bubbles lining the bottom of the glass. #yum

Treats Cereal Bar & Boba is located at 770 Grand Avenue and is open Monday-Saturday from 11am-11pm and Sundays from 11am-10pm.
