ANOTHER MIDWAY SITE SNATCHED UP FOR APARTMENTS

Planning is underway for another site to be redeveloped adjacent to the recently opened Allianz Field.

Scannell Properties has announced that they will redevelop two former Furniture Barn buildings located West of the stadium at 457 Snelling Avenue N. The site is directly next door to where Wellington Management also is planning to redevelop a site into a similar sized mixed-use building.

Plans for 457 Snelling Avenue N include a six-story mixed-use building with 120 apartments. Apartments will range in size and will include studios, one, two and three-bedroom units. Most of the residential units are expected to be market-rate however a certain percentage will be designated as affordable housing.

72 private parking stalls and 25 public parking stalls will also be included within the project on one level of underground space. The ground floor of the building will house 5,700 square feet of commercial space along with the building’s lobby and some of its amenity spaces.

Cuningham Group is the architect working on the project.

Construction is anticipated to begin this year with an anticipated completion in late 2020.
