VEGAN BURGER JOINT TO OPEN IN NORTHEAST image

A 100% plant-based burger joint and bar that plans to be a late-night hot spot is opening soon in Northeast.

Francis will be located at 2422 Central Avenue NE in a space that was formerly home to Dipped & Debris and Sen Yai Sen Lek. The new restaurant will serve vegan fare including Impossible burgers, plant-based chicken sandwiches and nuggets, fries, and over 18 different sauces. Francis will also feature a full bar with a craft cocktail program in partnership with Earl Giles Distillery.

Francis plans to stay open until at least 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 12am on Friday and Saturday. Being a late-night option for individuals getting off work was a very important factor for the new establishment. If all goes well, Francis may be open even later in the future.

Francis was founded by three friends who each had some amazing restaurant experience at area industry favorites. The three originally launched Francis as a food truck which had a residency at Sociable Cider Werks from September 2021 to September 2022.

Francis plans to hold its grand opening next Monday, January 9th. If you can’t wait until then, a soft opening with a limited menu is currently underway. Check out their Facebook page for more details.
