RBC GATEWAY PASSES HALFWAY POINT

You’ve been asking a lot about the progress at RBC Gateway recently, so we thought it might be time for an update.

Work is currently underway on level 23 (315’), which means the project is officially past the halfway point and climbing towards its final height of 37 stories (519’). While construction work on the concrete frame has picked up speed over the last year, work on cladding the exterior is moving even faster.

When complete, RBC Gateway will be home to retail space, office space, a five-star hotel (Minneapolis’ first) and luxury condos.

The ground floor of the building will feature multiple lobbies, a coffee shop, restaurant and retail space. The second floor will include both meeting and ballroom space while the fourth floor will feature amenity space. 526,000 square feet of Class-A office space will be located on floors 5-21. Floors 23-30 will be occupied by the Four Seasons Minneapolis which will feature 222 hotel rooms while floors 31-36 will be the Four Seasons Private Residences which will include 33 luxury condos. In addition, the building will be home to 441 parking spaces that will be located on three underground levels along with a public plaza that will be located at the corner of N Washington Avenue and Nicollet.

If you’re paying close attention, yes, that means floors 3, 20 and 37 will be home to management and mechanical space.

Work on RBC Gateway is anticipated to be complete in early 2022.
