A Missouri-based craft coffee shop and roastery is set to open a location soon in South Minneapolis.
Shortwave Coffee will open later this fall in the Lynnhurst neighborhood near the intersection of 50th and Lyndale. The new shop will be located next to Pamper Nails and will occupy a space that was formerly home to Whole Sum Café + Juice Bar.
The menu at Shortwave Coffee will include batch brews, single origin pour overs, traditional espresso and specialty lattes, cold brews, tea lattes, loose leaf teas, iced teas, and hot chocolates. A signature drink called the “Mint Mayday” will also be available which is made with Shortwave’s sweet and creamy cold brew and fresh muddled mint.
Shortwave Coffee’s roastery produces ten different blends of coffee that are each crafted in small batches. The different blends will be used to make beverages on site and will also be available for purchase at the shop and at wholesale. In addition, Shortwave will offer catering services ranging from single air pots of coffee to full espresso and coffee catering.
Shortwave Coffee’s original location opened in 2014 in Columbia, MO in a quaint space tucked away in an alleyway. The company opened a second, more prominent location, in the area a few years ago and is now currently in the process of expanding to not only Minneapolis, but also Tampa, FL.
Shortwave Coffee will be located at 824 W 50th Street in the Lynnhurst neighborhood.
