A space that was formerly home to Eastside is being transformed into a new Italian restaurant, bar and marketplace.

EaTo recently opened for business in the East Town neighborhood on the ground floor of Latitude 45. The new concept is from the same owners as Eastside and features an indoor cafΓ©, market, bar and ice cream stand along with a large outdoor patio and a walk-up window.

James-beard nominated Chef Jamie Malone and Chef Matt Henricksen are the duo behind the menu at EaTo which features several different pizzas, their signature pizza puffs (think of a pizza roll but classier), sandwiches, salads, little things (side dishes) and a several desserts including gelato. In addition, EaTo features an extensive beverage menu crafted by Marco Zappia. The menu includes classic cocktails and cocktails with a spin, along with aperitifs, digestifs, non-alcoholic beverages, espresso drinks and more.

The hope is that the hybrid restaurant and marketplace will become a neighborhood gathering spot where people can swing by for a drink or dinner or to purchase whatever they need to make a delicious meal at home.

EaTo is opening in phases, starting yesterday with their patio and walk-up window which will for the time being offer a limited version of their full menu. EaTo plans to open their indoor cafΓ© and marketplace later this fall. If you’re wondering what the marketplace will carry, we can tell you that you’ll find numerous Italian goods, a meat counter, a bottle shop and more.

EaTo is located at 305 Washington Avenue S and is currently open from 3pm-10pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 3pm-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
