A TRUE SPORTS OASIS IS SET TO OPEN NEXT YEAR IN DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS
A true sports oasis is set to open next year in a space that once was home to Rosa Mexicano on Hennepin Avenue.
Tom’s Watch Bar will open in early 2022 at the intersection of Hennepin Avenue and S 6th Street in Downtown Minneapolis. The space that the restaurant and bar will occupy is located on the ground floor of City Center and has been vacant since the departure of Prime 6 in 2018.
It’ll be the first Midwest location for Tom’s Watch Bar which started in Denver, Colorado and currently has six other locations in major cities on the east and west coasts.
Now, if you’re into sports you’re going to love this place. Not only do they serve great food and drinks, but you’re also going to be able to view just about any game that’s being played at one time.
The company’s slogan is “Your big games. Our big screens” which means you can view just about any game or sports event your heart could ever desire in one sitting. Games that will be broadcasted in the space will include not only college and professional leagues, but also international events, prize fights, plus obscure athletic odds and ends.
The new restaurant and bar, which will be “all the sports, all the time” according to their website, will span over 12,000 square feet and will be spread over two floors. The entire venue will be centered around a stadium screen area that will feature hundreds of screens that will provide a true 360-degree viewing experience.
With so many games and viewing options available at once, how will you be able to tune into exactly what you want to hear? Don’t worry, there’s a solution for that. Tom’s will offer premium and personalized sound options that will allow you to hear exactly what game you want to hear.
The menu at Tom’s Watch Bar will be centered around standard sports bar fare. It’ll include an extensive offering of burgers and sandwiches, wings, tacos, nachos, salads, cocktails, wine and a wholeeeeee lot of beer.
Tom’s Watch Bar is anticipated to open in early 2022 at 609 Hennepin Avenue.
