The addition will include a larger primary assembly space and adopt a traditional ecclesiastical architectural style, while the parish house will serve as a residential unit with an attached garage. Environmental testing revealed contamination in the soil and groundwater, including arsenic and diesel range organics exceeding action limits. The Minneapolis Health Department has recommended soil remediation as a more effective long-term solution over capping, prioritizing public health and minimizing environmental impacts like increased stormwater runoff and heat.
