SEPHORA IN KOHL’S TO OPEN AUGUST 20TH

A new beauty experience at Kohl’s will officially open later this month.

Sephora will open within 200 Kohl’s locations across the country this year and Duluth just so happens to be one of the first locations to open.

The new in-store experience is a partnership between Kohl’s and Sephora (similar to Sephora’s previous partnership with JCPenney) and will replace Kohl’s existing in-store beauty department. The Sephora + Kohl's experience will occupy nearly 2,500 square feet of space at the front of the store and will carry over 125 different prestige brands and over 8,500 hair, makeup, skincare, and fragrance products.

While the Sephora + Kohl’s experience is rolling out to 200 locations this year (Apple Valley is the only other Minnesota location planned now), Kohl’s expects the experience to be in over 850 of their nearly 1,200 stores by 2023.

This won’t be Sephora’s first store-within-a-store experience in Duluth as the company also has another location within JCPenney at the Miller Hill Mall. However, in recent years Sephora has stated that they plan to exit those locations and focus on their partnership with Kohl’s. It is unclear if/when the Duluth JCPenney Sephora location could close, however Sephora and JCPenney’s contract does expire in 2023.

Sephora within Kohl’s is located at 2115 Miller Trunk Highway and will open on Friday, August 20^th.
