Proposed Hampton Inn and Suites would be Duluth's second

Finally! A bit of news!

Construction could begin this fall on a new three story, 90 room, Hampton Inn and Suites in Duluth if all goes well for ZMC hotels regarding a zoning change. The site where the new hotel would be located would be directly behind Stone Ridge Shopping Center on Joshua Avenue. July will be the deciding month on whether or not the proposed hotel will be able to move forward. As of now, there is quite a bit of support for the development and many view the zoning application as something that will be passed without a fight. If the zoning change is approved, construction could start as early as this fall. This would be Duluth's second Hampton Inn and Suites.
