BLACK WATER LOUNGE | REOPENING IN EARLY 2022 | 231 E SUPERIOR STREET

Miller Hill K-Mart closing

The K-Mart store located on the corner of Mall Drive and Maple Grove Road will close its door as soon as mid-March. The store was an under performing store in which the parent company, Sears Holdings, said it no longer could afford to keep open. Rather Sears Holdings will be closing around 78 stores in order to focus more on the stores that actually make a profit. There currently is no word on how many employees will lose their jobs or how many employees currently work at this location. Those who frequently shop at K-Mart have no need to fear! K-Mart still will continue to operate their locations in West Duluth on Grand Avenue and also one in Superior. Nothing has been announced to fill the vacate space once K-Mart leaves.
