COMING SOON: BOOMTOWN WOODFIRE BAR & GRILL

A new restaurant, bar and brewery will open soon at the corner of Rice Lake and Martin Road.

BoomTown Woodfire Bar & Grill will occupy a building that previously was home to the Sunset Bar and Grill. The name β€œBoomTown” comes from the mining boom that occurred in the Iron Range at the turn of the century. This will be co-owners Erik and Jessica Lietz third BoomTown location with their two existing restaurants being located in Hibbing and Eveleth.

BoomTown’s menu offers an array of American food and drinks. You’ll find a little bit of everything on the menu including salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, pasta, a number of wood-fired meats and then of course there is the beer. BoomTown also offers multiple specials a week including Prime Rib Saturdays and a Bloody Mary Bar on Sundays.

An interior renovation is currently underway that will provide an updated look and feel that is similar to other BoomTown locations. When it comes to the softball fields behind the restaurant the new owners do not expect them to remain and instead plan to commercially develop the fields.

About 75 people are expected to be hired for the Duluth location. If you’re interested in applying for a position you can find more information on how to do so here.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the exact opening date for BoomTown has yet to be established. The hope is for the restaurant to open in early summer.

BoomTown Woodfire Bar & Grill will be located at 4483 Martin Road.
