Canal Park to welcome TWO new restaurants this summer

Duluth's Canal Park will be welcoming two additional restaurants this summer to feed all you hungry lakewalkers, tourists, and Duluthians enjoying a night by a the lake!

Canal Park Brewery Company is scheduled to open up in late May or early June 2012, if not then you can count on it to be open before Grandma's Marathon, on the site of the former Duluth Spring Co. (next to the Hampton Inn). The new brewery will feature not only it's own brewery, but also a bar and restaurant where your an not only get your hands on some of the best beer in the city, but also some of the best food too! Commencing in the Summer of 2012, the Canal Park Brewing Company, Duluth’s newest Brewpub, opens on the shores of Lake Superior in the heart of Duluth’s Canal Park waterfront.

Featuring a two story brewing facility with a 15-barrel brewing system, a Wagner-Zaun inspired Beer Hall, and a lively and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy creative and quality beer and a local, sustainable, and seasonal menu that surprises.

Duluth's Canal Park will also have an addition of a familiar face! Grizzly's Wood-Fired Grill will open it's third Twin Ports location in the former "Hells Kitchen/Hells Burgers" space on Lake Avenue. Grizzly's will not only take over that space, but also an the space next door that formerly housed an antique shop, thus creating a 7,000 square foot space. But don't get too used to the decor of the two restaurants you are already use to. This new location will have a more modern vibe to it and a design that showcases the rotissere style cooking. The new location will employ 70 to 80 people and will open sometime in May.
