Another new hotel on Park Point?

There's always room for more hotel rooms in the city of Duluth, I think anyone can argue that. The Duluth planning commission approved the zoning change for another new hotel on Minnesota Avenue yesterday. The hotel, to be called "Harbor Cove," will stand three levels tall and will be designed to have similar architectural elements to the old Duluth Boat Club club house, with most prominent architectural element of the building will be the 48 foot tall towers.. Harbor Cove will cover over 37,000 square feet and will have 55 rooms and also space for a swimming pool and meeting rooms. The hotel could possibly begin construction in June if all goes as planned when it is reviewed by the City Council.
