WRECKTANGLE PIZZA TO OPEN FIRST STAND ALONE LOCATION

A local restaurant that specializes in Detroit-style pizza is opening their first stand-alone location.

Wrecktangle Pizza will open a new location next year in a 3,000 square foot space located at the corner of Lyndale Avenue and E Lake Street. The space they will call home was previously home to Prieto which moved to a new location in the Tangletown neighborhood in 2020.

Wrecktangle Pizza currently has two locations within food halls in Minneapolis, one at North Loop Galley in the North Loop and the other at The Market at Malcolm Yards in the Prospect Park neighborhood.

Wrecktangle Pizza’s new location will include a large kitchen on the ground floor of the building that will also feature a smoker, a new cooking element for the restaurant to get creative with. The new location will serve a full menu of apps, house and classic pizzas along with rotating small plates, different varieties of breads and more. In addition, due to the kitchen being so large, the new location will also be able to host pop-up events/residences from emerging Chefs which in turn will allow the space to operate somewhat as a micro food-hall.

Wrecktangle Pizza is anticipated to open in mid-2022 at 701 W Lake Street.
