SURDYK'S TO OPEN RESTAURANT AND BAR IN NORTHEAST

Surdyk’s is ready to expand upon their empire, this time with a new restaurant and bar in Northeast Minneapolis.

“Sidebar” will open later this summer in a space within their Northeast location that is located along Hennepin Avenue. The space the restaurant and bar will occupy currently is part of Surdyk’s sales floor.

Designed by Shea, the new restaurant and bar will feature seating for 60 individuals. The restaurant and bar will offer a full menu of food and drinks and will share kitchen space with the adjacent cheese shop. Speaking of the cheese shop, it’s also getting an update.

Updates to Surdyk’s cheese shop will include a new look, a slightly expanded assortment and a walk-up window located along Hennepin Avenue. That means grabbing some delicious coffee and food while on an afternoon stroll will be even easier in the near future.

Construction on Sidebar is anticipated to begin the next few weeks. While the cheese shop will close for a short period of time, the liquor store will remain open throughout construction.

Sidebar is anticipated to open this summer at 303 E Hennepin Avenue.
