A significant amount of retail space on the ground floor of NordHaus has been leased to a medical clinic that plans to open in early 2021.
The Good Clinic will be located on the ground floor of the 19-story, mixed-use building in a space located between Haus Salon and a planned restaurant named Vellee. The clinic was attracted to the site not only because of the fact that both Lennarβs properties (NordHaus and Odin) contain over 600 residential units, but also due to the significant traffic within the area in general.
The Good Clinic hopes to improve the lives of individuals through high quality, primary care that is easily accessible, offered at a lower price and is centered around a consumer-centric model. The company plans to offer services not only through neighborhood clinics, but also telehealth.
The concept behind the new clinic was created by three visionary founders including Jim Woodburn, MD, MS, Kevin Lee Smith, DNP, FNP FAANP, and Rebecca Hafner-Fogarty, MD, MBDA, FAAFP. Each of the three are highly experienced healthcare innovators that have many years of primary care experience under their belts. The Good Clinic also includes a number of key executives that brought Minute Clinic (found primarily in CVS Pharmacy) to life across the United States.
The Good Clinicβs Minneapolis location will be the first for the company; however, there are already plans to add nearly 50 other locations across the country over the next three years.
The Good Clinic is anticipated to open in early 2021 at the 315 1st Avenue NE in the Nicollet Island neighborhood.
