OMC SMOKEHOUSE OPENING WEDNESDAY

Businesses in Lincoln Park's Craft District will have a new neighbor this week when OMC Smokehouse (OMC standing for Oink Moo Cluck) opens their doors on Wednesday.

OMC Smokehouse is the brain child of Tom and Jaima Hanson, the owners of the wildly successful Duluth Grill located a mile away on 27th Avenue W.

Located at 1909 W. Superior Street OMC will open in a 131 year old building that has been completely renovated from top to bottom. The restaurant, from the interior to the food served, is meant to be an entirely different, much more tailored, experience for their customers.

The focus is on quality meats and fresh, local ingredients. The Hanson's have traveled the country learning the tricks and trades of BBQ and have taken those lessons taught and used them to create dishes and sauces that they hope their customers will love.

The opening of OMC marks new chapter for the Lincoln Park craft district. While there have been a number of local businesses that have opened up in the area in recent years such as Frost River, Duluth Pottery, and Hemlock Leather to name a few, there has yet to be a sit down restaurant that opens.
