04.22.2020 UPDATE: We regret to inform you that TMBR will not be moving forward and that the project has been cancelled.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

We have some fresh renderings of Minneapolis’ first mass timber residences.

TMBR, a ten-story mixed-use building that will include condos and retail space, is planned to begin construction in early 2020 on what today is a surface parking lot located at 110 N 3rd Avenue in the North Loop.

When complete, the building will include 59 condos along with 4,300 square feet of commercial space and 115 parking spaces located on three underground parking levels. Amenities within the project will include a large ground floor lobby, a fitness center and rooftop that includes ample lounge space, fire pits and grilling areas.

Units within TMBR will range in size and include one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. Units will be constructed using high-quality materials such as natural wood, white concrete and modern finishes.

The 9th and 10th floor of the building will be home to the TMBR Signature Collection. Units on these floors will feature β€œan exceptional level of fit and finish and can be tailored to the buyer’s preference of style.” Owners on these floors will be able to choose between two design teams, Martin Patrick 3 along with Martha O’hara Interiors, to design their custom residence.

TMBR will be unique as it will be constructed using an exposed mass timber frame. Using mass timber is beneficial to the health of the planet as it stores carbon from being released into the atmosphere and is also a renewable resource.

Developer Todd Simning has big plans for TMBR as he believes the building could be replicated in multiple cities across the nation. TMBR was designed by Colin Oglesbay of D/O Architects with interiors having been designed by Betsy Vohs of Studio BV.

If you’re looking to reserve a unit at TMBR Joe Grunnet, Aleska Montpetit and Kent Pitlick of DRG along with Frank Roffers of Wille Group Executive Realtors can help you out. In addition, the sales center for the project will open in early 2020.

TMBR is anticipated to begin construction in early 2020 with a completion set for summer 2021.
