A unique residential project in the Standish-Ericcson neighborhood is set to soon be assembled. Yes, assembled. You read correctly.
Located at 4200 42nd Avenue E, the project, which will be named βMOD42β, will be constructed on what today is a vacant site at the intersection of 42nd Street E and 32nd Avenue S. The three-story building will be home to 30 apartment units once complete with all units within the building featuring one-bedroom layouts.
Rise Modular is the developer behind the project which will use a unique construction method.
Designed by DJR Architecture, the entire building will go up within a single weekβs time span beginning next week. The building will be comprised of modular units that are prefabricated in a factory and set in place, almost like Legos. The modular components will be completely finished when it comes to the interior allowing for a significantly expedited construction schedule.
This unique construction method has already been deployed on the East and West coasts in markets where construction costs are extremely high and a shorter construction timeframe saves a significant amount of money. Rise Modular hopes to deploy this new construction method throughout the βuntappedβ Midwest market in the years to come.
MOD42 is anticipated to be complete in late 2020.
