MIXED-USE BUILDING PLANNED FOR MIDWAY NEIGHBORHOOD

View fullsize

How’d you like to live just steps from the brand-new Allianz Field?

A new mixed-use project is planned at 427 Snelling Avenue N, a site that is currently home to a Bremer Bank branch and is literally across the street from the new stadium. The bank would be demolished, and, in its place, a six-story building would be constructed. Within the building there would be 159 market-rate apartments and 13,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. Bremer Bank would relocate into a portion of that space with the remaining space being rumored to have been leased to Walgreen’s.

Pope Architects are responsible for the design of this project which is being called β€œThe Pitch” and Wellington Management is the developer. The building is one of the first new mixed-use projects to be constructed on the edges of Allianz Field and is a prime example of the type of projects we will begin to see constructed in the area within the coming years.

Construction is expected to begin later this year with an anticipation completion in mid to late 2020.
