A new restaurant serving up Korean-style hot dogs will open later this year in Dinkytown.
CrunCheese will be located at the corner of 4th and 14th in a space that was previously home to US Bank. The new restaurant will specialize in Korean hot dogs, a twist on traditional corn dogs that originated in Korea in the 1980βs.
At CrunCheese youβll select your choice of hot dog, cheese and more which will then be dipped into a dairy free batter. The hot dogs come out both chewy and crunchy and each comes with your choice of condiments and seasonings. The menu includes hot dog flavors such as original, mozzarella & sausage, squid-ink, premium beef, potato, rice cake and more. Available sides include your traditional hot dog toppings like ketchup and mustard, but also more adventurous sides like sweet chili, garlic parmesan, and honey butter to name a few.
CrunCheese was founded in 2019 with a mission to create gourmet corndogs that were like none other. The chain currently has two locations in the United States, both of which are in Las Vegas, and is planning on expanding across the country in the future with seven other locations already planned.
CrunCheese will be located at 401 14th Avenue SE and is anticipated to open in the spring.
