Details emerge on 2100 London Road development

More details have emerged on the planned development of a the corner of 21st Avenue E and London. We posted about a week ago news that Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors was planning a residential and commercial project on a site that formerly housed a Burger King and was pegged for a Burger King and Caribou Coffee in its redevelopment.

Plans for the site now include 148 market rate apartments and approximately 12,000 square feet of retail. The retail space is expected to be split into a 4,000 square foot restaurant, 1,500 coffee shop (we're still thinking Caribou Coffee) and the remaining 6,500 square feet into general retail use. The project will feature 267 parking spaces in an underground parking garage and also on surrounding surface parking lots.

DSGW Architects of Duluth are responsible for the design of the project which is said to "preserve site lines to Lake Superior" while providing "Duluth a "signature" housing development." The project will include an amenity deck that will feature outdoor seating and fire pits, grilling stations, outdoor yoga platform and of course those beautiful views of Lake Superior.

Inside of the project one will find a mix of residences including studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units. Amenities inside will include a club room, indoor bike storage and maintenance room, fitness room, concierge, multi-purpose lobby, outdoor dog walk and more. To us it sounds like this place is going to be a one stop shop and that those who are lucky enough to call this place home will never actually have to leave their residence.

Harbor Bay is "confident that the proposed development will provide a distinguished, and new lifestyle opportunity for existing and future residents of Duluth."
