CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON 240 HENNEPIN

Construction has officially begun on 240 Hennepin.

The new 21-story mixed-use project is being constructed at the corner of Hennepin Avenue and Washington Avenue N on a site that is today home to a surface parking lot and a large vacant plot of land.

When complete, 240 Hennepin will stand 246’ tall and will include 346 market-rate apartments along with 20,969 square feet of ground floor retail space. In total, there will be over 350 parking spaces located on two underground levels and two above ground levels.

Units within the building will range in size with those on levels 3-18 including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. Levels 20 and 21 will also feature penthouse units that begin at around 1,900 square feet in size.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE AMENITIES

A large lobby with a curved staircase that extends three stories above will greet residents when they enter the building. On the ground floor there will be a concierge, mail room and plenty of lounge space. The second floor will include leasing offices along with shared workspace and a business center. The third floor will include another lounge with an outdoor party deck, a theater, a pet space and a large outdoor pet run.

Level 19 of the building will be home to a number of other amenities including a golf simulator room, a game room, a private dining room with private outdoor deck, a party room, a yoga studio, a fitness center, a sauna/steam room and an outdoor amenity deck with a pool, spa, sun deck, fire pits, grilling space and plenty of lounge space. Whew, we’re out of breath.

Oh yeah, and that rooftop deck? It’ll also have some killer views of the Downtown Minneapolis skyline.

240 Hennepin is being co-developed by CA Ventures and Harlem Living. The project was designed by Tushie Montgomery Architects and is being constructed by Weis Builders. Work on prepping the site for construction is currently underway by Bolander.

240 Hennepin is anticipated to be complete in 26 months in early 2022.
