A new residential building is in the works for a plot of land adjacent to Loring Park.
The project would be constructed on what is currently three different sites located at 307, 315 and 317 Oak Grove Street. Today the sites are home to a surface parking lot that is owned and operated by the Minneapolis Women's Club. The new residential building would stand six-stories tall and would include 62 apartments along with two levels of indoor, underground parking.
Units within the building would range in size and include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. Residents would have access to a large ground floor lobby with co-working spaces, a fitness center, a sixth floor indoor and outdoor amenity space and a rooftop deck with views of Loring Park and the Downtown Minneapolis skyline. On the ground floor of the building residents would have also access to an outdoor gathering area and an outdoor enclosed dog run.
37 indoor parking spaces would be located on two levels of underground parking with access to the parking levels being located along Oak Grove Street. Due to the project site being located within a ΒΌ mile of a transit stop, the development qualifies for a 50 percent parking reduction from the 62 spaces that would have otherwise been required.
Snow Kreilich Architects is responsible for the design of the building which would be clad in either in masonry or stone with metal panel accents.
Plans for 307 Oak Grove Street will go before the Minneapolis Planning Commission Committee of the Whole for feedback this Thursday, December 10th at 4:30 pm.
