1960'S SUPPER CLUB AND TIKI BAR TO OPEN NEXT TO XCEL ENERGY CENTER

1960'S SUPPER CLUB AND TIKI BAR TO OPEN NEXT TO XCEL ENERGY CENTER image

A new supper club and tiki bar is about to transport you back in time to 1960’s Palm Springs (with a splash of Mad Men thrown in).

The Apostle and False Eye Doll Voodoo Tiki Bar will open later this fall on the ground floor of The Arlow on Kellogg, a new mixed-use project across the street from the Xcel Energy Center that is just about to wrap up construction.

Brian Ingram of Purpose Driven Restaurants is opening both concepts, both of which will share a single space. The company has three other popular restaurants in St. Paul including Hope Breakfast Bar, The Gnome, and the recently opened Woodfired Cantina + Lounge at Keg and Case Market.

Inside the new, sprawling, 7,000 square foot restaurant and bar space, there will be seating for 400 (yes, you read that correctly). The space will feature a large open kitchen in the center of the room, plenty of seating options throughout (including a sunken living room space), and a piano bar where there will be live music multiple days of the week. Eric DrommehausΓ«n of LGHTR is responsible for the interior design of both concepts while Joshua Jansen of Collage Architects is responsible for the architecture.

Outside will be another sprawling space, a 1-acre outdoor patio and entertainment area that will have enough space for another 1,000 people (yes, you also read that correctly.) Long story short, this place is about to be quite the bustling and jiving spot to be.

The menus for both concepts were inspired by supper clubs and tiki bars that are spread across the US in places like Chicago, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and even northern Wisconsin.

The menu at The Apostle will feature a number of supper club staples including delicious meat and fish dishes (yes, of course there will be prime rib) and it will also offer classic supper club experiences like a tableside salad bar cart and a fondue cart. During event days there will also be less expensive options for purchase such as a burger in a basket, fish and chips and more.

Now, if you’re more interested in the tiki bar aspect let us tell you you won’t be disappointed. False Eye Doll Voodoo Tiki Bar will feature a number of fruity drinks, an expansive menu of classic tiki drinks, and a vast selection of rum.

The Apostle and False Eye Doll Voodoo Tiki Bar are anticipated to open in late October at 171 Seventh Street W in Downtown St. Paul.
