MADE TO FADE TATTOO SHOP TO OPEN IN NORTHEAST

MADE TO FADE TATTOO SHOP TO OPEN IN NORTHEAST image

A new tattoo shop unlike any other in the state, let alone the country, is set to open in Northeast.

Ephemeral Tattoo will open later this year on the ground floor of The Broadway, a commercial building located at the intersection of Broadway Street and Central Avenue NE. The tattoo shop will offer “made to fade” tattoos which are applied like a typical tattoo but fade completely within two years on average.

How do they do it? Ephemeral uses a special ink that they developed to create tattoos that look like a traditional tattoo but fade over time, eventually returning your skin back to a blank canvas. Tattoos are applied in a traditional manner with ink being deposited under your top layer of skin. Where things differ from a typical tattoo is the type of ink used. Ephemeral ink contains medical-grade, bio-absorbable ingredients that will shrink over time, eventually disappearing all together. Two types of tattoos are offered including “Subtle” and “Statement” pieces. Tattoos are priced between $195 and $550, and no tip is needed. That’s because their tattoo artists are paid a salary which includes what an average 20% tip would be.

When it comes to the location, anticipate an environment that is more spa like than traditional tattoo parlor. Ephemeral currently has seven unique locations in a handful of cities across the country, the Northeast Minneapolis location will be Minnesota’s first location (and the Midwest’s), however it likely will not be the last. Ephemeral is already scouting for a second location within the metro area. Ephemeral’s lease at The Broadway was executed by Minneapolis-based Monarch Commercial Real Estate.

Ephemeral Tattoo is anticipated to open in mid to late summer at 945 Broadway Avenue NE.
