Café Cerés to open second Minneapolis location
A local coffee shop is opening a second location at the corner of Penn and W 54th in the Armatage neighborhood.
Café Cerés will be located in a space that was formerly home to Lucky Oven. The new location will be the second for the local café, the first opened last year in the Linden Hills neighborhood. While this may be the second location, it will not be the last as plans are already in the works for additional locations within the area.
The menu at Café Cerés will be similar to what is offered at their first location and will include a number of pastries, cookies, sandwiches, salads, cakes, tarts and of course coffee beverages. The new location has also filed for a liquor license which means there might be a bit more to the menu than what was originally featured.
Daniel del Prado and Shawn McKenzie are the two individuals behind Café Cerés. Both have been part of numerous restaurants in Minneapolis including Burch Steak & Pizza, Penny’s Coffee, Martina, Colita and Rosalia.
Café Cerés is planning to open on Tuesday, April 20th at 5401 Penn Avenue S.
